Our Projects

Sustainable Agri-Waste Programme

At Phoolja, we turn village waste into value. This program transforms agricultural by-products like cornhusk and cow dung—once burned or discarded—into sustainable, handcrafted home décor items. This year alone, tons of kilograms of agri-waste have been responsibly collected and repurposed into eco-friendly products like baskets, mats, pots, and idols. It’s not just about recycling—it’s about regenerating rural livelihoods and preserving our environment.

Kaushal Gram Skill Training Programme

We believe empowerment begins with skill. At Phoolja, our skill development programme is core to every initiative. Through focused training in socio-emotional learning, financial literacy, digital skills, and enterprise development, we help women and youth build the confidence and capacity to lead. These trainings are the foundation for long-term, sustainable change in rural communities.

Farm to Future Livelihood Programme

From agri-waste to enterprise—this programme empowers women to become creators and earners. Women are trained in designing and crafting market-ready products from agricultural waste, and are connected to forward markets to ensure sales and income. It’s more than skill-building—it’s building a future where rural women lead sustainable enterprises with dignity and purpose.

Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Camp

We conducted a menstrual hygiene awareness camp in our project village, where over 100 adolescent girls and women participated. The session focused on breaking taboos, understanding menstrual health, and promoting safe hygiene practices. Reusable pads were also distributed to encourage sustainable menstrual care.

Finacial Literacy Programme

As part of our skill development initiative, we organized a financial literacy workshop for self-help group (SHG) women and young girls. The training covered topics like savings, budgeting, digital payments, and understanding bank services—empowering over 80 participants to make informed financial decisions.
