Phoolja Foundation was born out of a deep commitment to transform the lives of women in rural India by equipping them with meaningful livelihood opportunities. Recognizing the untapped potential of rural women and the need for sustainable solutions, the foundation combines economic empowerment with environmental responsibility. By harnessing locally available agro-waste and converting it into everyday utility products, Phoolja not only fosters financial independence but also promotes eco-conscious entrepreneurship. Through skill-building programs, enterprise development, and access to markets, the foundation envisions a future where women lead the change—becoming pillars of strength, innovation, and prosperity in their communities.
In August 2024, a seed of purpose was planted.
It began when our founder, Paridhi Narvar, joined a research internship with HSA, where she chose a topic close to both her heart and heritage:
“Reusing Agricultural Waste by Generating Women’s Employment.”
As she poured her heart into the research, Paridhi wasn’t just chasing academic recognition—she was searching for real solutions to real problems.
On the final day of the workshop, her work didn’t just earn applause, it sparked a decision that would shape the future. Inspired and determined, Paridhi made a promise to herself:
This research must not remain on paper—it must grow into action.
And So, Phoolja Foundation Was Born
The name Phoolja carries deep personal meaning, lovingly derived from the names of Paridhi’s grandparents, Shreemati Phoolwati and Shri Jogendra Singh—the roots that nurtured her values, compassion, and courage.
Through this name, their legacy continues to bloom in every woman we empower.
What We Believe
At Phoolja, we believe that waste is only waste until we learn to value it.
Our mission is to reuse agricultural waste—like discarded flowers, stalks, husks—and turn it into sustainable products, while at the same time creating meaningful employment for rural women.
